3D Printing

Although 3D printing has been in existence since the 1980s, it is only in the last decade that this high-speed, highly accurate technique has been used in the mainstream. A range of industries – from architecture to fashion, from medicine to transport – now use automated 3D printing to manufacture prototypes and parts with incredibly short lead times.

Where the strength and integrity guaranteed by welding and machining is not a requirement, 3D printing can be a quick and affordable alternative. Our Craftbot Flow IDEX XL printer uses fused deposition modelling (FDM) to deliver a 3D print volume of up to 425mm x 250mm x 500mm, and its independent dual extruder allows us to duplicate parts, doubling the speed of fabrication.

Hyspex can work with you to produce a design for each 3D-printed item, or we can use your existing design or part file. Printed parts come in a range of colours and the following materials:

ABS

Nylon

PET

PETG

PLA

PVA/Water soluble

TPE/Flexible
